Practical and theoretical training for workers involved in manual handling tasks
It is vital that workers involved in manual handling tasks understand the risks, can make sensible decisions about the task, and know why it is important to carry out the task correctly. This 2 hour (approx) course can be tailored to your exact requirements. Following discussions with you, and if necessary a preliminary visit, we will ensure the training is relevent to your company and to your people.
The course
The course is a mixture of theoretical and practical activity. Attendees will learn:
- How the back works and why it is at risk
- The law and their role in it
- What tasks are covered in manual handling
- Identifying risks in manual handling
- Lifting techniques
- Company specific information, including use of equipment
