Tailored training at your choice of venue.
Who should attend?
The COSHH Regulations say you must provide training in COSHH for employees who work with substances hazardous to health. Employees need to understand COSHH, the risks to their health and the need for control measures.
You should train any staff who work with hazardous substances and who are covered by your COSHH assessment. Include all groups of staff such as cleaners and maintenance staff. In some circumstances you may also want to include contractors’ employees.
What does “COSHH for employees” cover?
Employees need to understand the outcome of your risk assessment, what this means for them and what they have to do. The training is tailored to your requirements and typically covers:
- What the hazards and risks are
- About any workplace exposure limit
- How to use control measures properly
- Their own responsibilities
- What to do if there is an accident (eg spillage) or emergency
